Indian Matchmaking website<\/strong><\/a> www.matrimonyindians.com conducted a survey to understand what makes women say ‘yes’ in relationships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

INDIA: A lot of Indian women want to know if their prospective partners can cook, reveals a survey.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Matchmaking service www.matrimonyindians.com<\/strong><\/a> conducted a survey to understand what makes women say ‘yes’ in relationships. The survey was conducted to mark the service reaching five million success stories in May.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The online poll received over 9,200 responses (women – 45% and men – 55 %) from married Indians from ages 22 to 30 years who found each other on Matrimonyindians.com.<\/p>When they were asked \u2018What are the three most important questions you asked your prospective partner before saying yes?’ 36% women said \u2018Do you live in a nuclear or joint family?’, 30% sought to know \u2018Will you be supportive of my career?’, and a surprising 26% asked \u2018Can you cook?’.<\/cite><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

These numbers were slightly different for men. About 33% asked \u2018Are you willing to live with my family?’, followed by 36% who asked \u2018Do you plan to work after marriage?’, while only 19% asked \u2018Can you cook?’.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When they were asked \u2018What is the first thing that attracts you to the opposite sex?', men and women both said \u2018physical appearance' was the primary factor with 60% and 49% respectively. \u2018Success in career' (20%) and \u2018Common likes' (30%) also played an important role for women.<\/pre>\n\n\n\n
When women were asked \u2018What gave you confidence to take the final decision?’, 50% men and 70% women said \u2018Approval from parents’ was what helped them seal the deal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Matrimonyindians.com<\/a> owner, said in a statement: “While career and physical attributes are important, we are seeing that women are looking for a partner who will share their lives and responsibilities in every way.”<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
